The 35-year-old artist, who received an Oscar nomination for the song from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” performed the track during the 95th annual Academy Awards show on Sunday, March 12. Danai Gurira, who portrayed Okoye in the Marvel movies, introduced Rihanna, describing her as “royalty in her own right.”

The audience, including A$AP Rocky, gave Rihanna a standing ovation for her stirring performance, which he watched from the front row.
