Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodu Blvck, has revealed that his hit song Declan Rice saw a staggering 200% increase in streams following a standout performance by Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice in the UEFA Champions League.

The rapper shared the news on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday night, writing:

Reports indicate that Declan Rice, the English midfielder after whom the track is named, delivered an exceptional performance during Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday, earning the ‘Man of the Match’ title. Originally released in 2023, Declan Rice has been a major success for Odumodu, clinching the Rap Song of the Year award at the Headies. The track also gained attention when it was used to unveil Rice’s signing with Arsenal.

Since then, Odumodu has continued to rise, recently receiving the 2024 Leadership Artist of the Year award, and earning eight nominations at the 17th Headies Awards following the release of his 16-track album.
