[THROWBACK] DON JAZZY

Enter the musical time machine with Don Jazzy, a.k.a. Michael Collins Ajereh, the maestro of the beats. The illustrious founder and CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, was born in Nigeria on November 26, 1982. He and D’Banj founded the renowned Mo’ Hits Records back in 2004, releasing hits like “No Long Thing” and “Rundown/Funk You Up.”

Hits like “It’s Don Jazzy Again!” and “The Entertainer” by D’Banj and “Mushin 2 MoHits” by Wande Coal became identified with his distinctive echo. Don Jazzy’s musical adventure even achieved global recognition when he and Kanye West worked together on the song “Watch The Throne.”

A new era began in 2012 when Don Jazzy introduced Mavin Records, an African superpower. Under his direction, hits including “Amarachi,” “Forever,” and “I’m an MAVIN” resounded. Don Jazzy’s resiliency was evident despite turbulence such as Wande Coal’s exit and the historic Headies match.

Talents like Tiwa Savage, Rema, Ayra Starr, and Magixx added to his roster. Buckle up, because Don Jazzy is going to take you on a nostalgic journey through the sounds of his illustrious past as we delve into his discography. Prepare to groove to the sounds that defined a time period! 🎶✨ Retro #DonJazzy #MavinChronicles
