The 2023 VGMAs nominations include Libianca, Ayra Starr, Gyakie, Burna Boy, Sarkodie, and Kizz Daniel.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) for 2023 have announced the nominees. Ghanaian artists such as King Promise, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and Kwesi Authur, among others, have received nominations. In addition to them, Nigerian musicians Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Kizz Daniel have also been nominated in the Best African Artist category, along with Cameroonian-American singer Libianca.

Furthermore, other Nigerian artists like Omah Lay, Mayorkun, Yemi Alade, and BNXN have also made it to the nomination list. Omah Lay was nominated for Best Collaboration for his contribution to King Promise’s “Ten Toes,” while Mayorkun received a nomination for his participation in the “Sugarcane” remix by Camidoh. Yemi Alade and Mzvee’s “Dumebi” collaboration earned them a nomination, and BNXN was nominated for his collaboration with Sarkodie on “Better Days.”

The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) will host the 2023 VGAMs on May 13.
