Wale Rasaq: Wale Rasaq is a graduate of Computer Engineering from Federal Polytechnic, Offa. I hail from Okeho, in Oke Ogun, Oyo State. I am happily married with kids.
Officialuniqueblog: What made you pursue film making?
Wale Rasaq: I got interested into film making since my childhood because I stayed in the same house with late Dr. Isho pepper at Academy, Ibadan. Then I later joined professionally immediately after my OND.
Officialuniqueblog: What is your greatest achievement till date?
Wale Rasaq: I thank God for many achievement in the industry. I won’t be able to mention some achievements but I have produced so many big projects when we are talking about good movies in the industry and i have been awarded many times.
Officialuniqueblog: How do you handle a stubborn actor or actress?
Wale Rasaq: I turn any stubborn actor or actress to irrelevant and useless on set.
Officialuniqueblog: Which film has inspired you the most?
Wale Rasaq: The latest film I just finished now titled GIRLFRIEND. This film inspired me the most. Watch out for the film and you will love it.
Officialuniqueblog: Do you think it is essential to go to a film institute in order to become a successful film maker?
Wale Rasaq: Yes it is very essential to go to a film institute because one still need to learn more. I am planning to go to a film institute very soon.
Officialuniqueblog: Would you say there’s great improvement in Nollywood.
Wale Rasaq: Yes very great improvements so far in terms of technical, story line and casting. In fact, everything has improved greatly in Nollywood.
Officialuniqueblog: What is your personal key to success?
Wale Rasaq: My personal key to success is Almighty God.
Officialuniqueblog: Tell us about your current and upcoming projects?
Wale Rasaq: My upcoming project is titled GIRLFRIEND and it is a story about a young girl with epilepsy. She is very talented, she can sing very well and people love her music but they run from her because of this epilepsy. It is an emotional film with a lot of musical adventures and it is coming to the cinema soon.
Officialuniqueblog: What are the qualities of a good director?
Wale Rasaq: A good director must be able to interpret the script very well, he must be a technical man and generally, a good director must be very versatile.
Officialuniqueblog: On the issue of copyright, what was your reaction when Adekunle Gold called you out for using his song in WURA MI without his permission?
Wale Rasaq: I decided not to react to Adekunle Gold because he has never served me a court letter and I know I was not a victim. So am not scared of the allegation by Adekunle Gold.
